The Spanish Food and Drink Industry Federation (FIAB) was established in 1977 to represent the Spanish food and beverage industry through a single body and one voice. Its main activity is to inform the sector of the main developments that may affect its operation and competitiveness. It also represents its interests in different government and decision-makers, both nationally and at the European and international scope.

Currently, it encompasses more than 40 associations, which includes FENIL (Dairy Spanish Industry Federation).

FIAB leads the Food For Life - Spain Platform with the following groups: Training and Technology Transfer, Food and Health, Quality, Production and Sustainability, Food and Consumer, Food Security and Food Chain Management.

FIAB has a permanent office in Brussels and is member of FoodDrinkEurope promoting its members’ interests in areas such as food safety and science, nutrition and health, consumer trust and choice, competitiveness, and environmental sustainability. FIAB organizes each 2 years ENVIFOOD meeting point related to food and drink industry sustainability and environment with a gallery for innovation projects related.
