Founded in 1968, ANIA is the French organization representing the food industry. Its role is to defend the interests of the leading industry in France. ANIA federates 23 different professions and over 11 000 businesses.

ANIA’s mission is to help the manufactured food companies to face the major challenges of Environmental and Food safety issues, Transfer of added value from manufacturing to distribution and Competitiveness and ability to export in a changing world among others.

ANIA is involved in many European research programs in order to support the innovation in food industry. Its role is to ensure an effective dissemination of the program results and transfer of information towards the companies in different food sectors.

ANIA also manages Food for Life France, the French Technology Platform dedicated to Food Research and Innovation and is part of FoodDrinkEurope (, the EU-umbrella federation for Food and Drink companies.
